This journal is dedicated solely to the world that is The Vala School and Seminary.

WHAT IS VALA?

Vala school and seminary is a school where creatures of stories or myths come together to learn the truth behind their kind and how they're supposed to exist in a world that is comprised mostly humans. These creatures range from folklore found all over the world and all time periods. Myths are shattered and recreated in this work of fiction, as the author interprets each story and creature in new and unique ways, and emphasizes the inaccuracy of the oral tradition and how it plays such a big part in human story telling - even today.

THE STUDENTS:

Cheyenne Loveless- A 16-year-old girl who recently discovered that she was not only a nymph, but also an heir to godhood. There are many dark secrets in her life that are just beginning to unveil themselves before her.

Denver Collins- He appears to be a typical 18-year-old boy, and while his age is the same equivilant to that in standard human years, he is in actuality 67.5 years old. The students and teachers at Vala call him a vampire because of his need to consume blood, but what he really is, no one is really sure.

Zes Willam- The older of the Willam twins, Zes is half satyr and half sprite. He is 17-years-old and three and a half minutes older than his brother Anj. He is very in touch with nature and has a strong draw towards magic of the Earth.

Anj Willam- The younger of the Willam twins, Anj is full sprite. He is legally blind with only 20% of his sight remaining which he will enhance with his magic. Some say that he has the ability to see the future and that was why he had to give up his eyes because he has a mysterious way of always knowing things that were about to happen. His abilities consist of mild light magic and a handful of water spells.

Haylyn Alpay- This 15-year-old, witch doctor in training, is Cheyenne's roommate at the dorms. She's enthusiastic and positive, proving to be a good friend through out all of the tough times.

Jewl Dite- 16-years-old, Jewl is a mystery to everyone, including her on again, off again, boyfriend Anj. She likes to keep it that way.

THE FACULTY:

Akuji Thantos- An angel of death, Akuji is thousands of years old. He is the history teacher in the school, focusing most of his time on teaching the high school aged students and some college level courses. He spends most of his time keeping to himself afraid to get close to anyone because of his past.

Aradia Orinda- A common spells witch, Aradia teaches Kindergarten up to 3rd Grade due to the small class sizes in the younger grades. She is the wife of Jon Orinda who she loves very much despite their somewhat dysfunctional relationship. She also is a guidance counselor for transfer students in the high school.

Dr. Andrea Warhol- The psychiatrist of the school, Andrea is an empath as well as a mind reader. She knows everything that everyone feels and thinks that is not a celestial being or someone who has the ability to mask their mind. She enjoys testing her colleagues and students. Despite their differences, she is Aradia's best friend, and she has a secret crush on Akuji due to her liking of his mysterious and cold ways.

OTHER CHARACTERS:

Jon Orinda- Nobody really knows what Jon does, not even his wife of six years. He goes out of town at least two times a month, so he doesn't spend a lot of time at the school. He can be selfish at times, and he has a short temper.

Lucien- An old partner of Akuji's who fell to the darkness.

Teague- A strange, quiet, and shy transfer student with the power to control the weather.

WHAT IS THIS JOURNAL?

This journal keeps track of all the chapters of the story, any graphics I have made, and any other random media so that I don't flood my friends page with all of that crap. All things will be tagged and archived for your convenience.
